Foreword
A trip on Lake Skadar is an immersion in a fairy tale, in nature, in harmony, in history. The Skadar Lake National Park includes not only the area of the lake itself, but also the picturesque Crnojevica river flowing into it, as well as the mouths of the Moraca and Crmitsa rivers (channel to Virpazar).
Everything on Lake Skadar is interesting for true connoisseurs of beauty and nature:
changing landscapes, fresh "delicious" air, ancient monasteries scattered across the islands, fortresses, rare birds hovering over your head, fish hitting a boat , against your legs, or on the hook of your fishing rod, the purest fresh water you can swim in.
You have 2 options for a walk with boats, where you can have a picnic in nature or go to a cozy fish restaurant "for locals":
1) Speedboats with a captain, one with a closed cockpit and an open deck. The boats have a ladder for swimming, a buffet table, music, you can swim or fish from the boat. The capacity of the boat is up to 8 people.
2) Sailing catamaran, the only one in Skadar! With captain, galley, cabin, sundeck, bathroom, shower, bathing ladder. Capacity up to 10 people, the catamaran is equipped with 5 beds. Unfortunately, the catamaran's mast does not allow you to sail under the Skadar Bridge to the Crnojevica River, and the speed of the catamaran is low for long walks along the Crnojevica River, but the vast area of Skadar Lake itself is open to sailing catamarans.
During a trip through the national park, you can visit the fishing villages of Karuch and Dodoshi, where there are fish restaurants "for locals". If you wish, you can go to the small towns of Zabljak Crnoevicha, Reka Crnoevicha, Virpazar. If you are only interested in nature or fishing, then you will find the unique landscapes of the Malo Blato Lake and the mouth of the Moraca River, the thickets of the narrow channels of Plavnica and Karatuna, cozy river beaches and the famous green bend of the Crnojevic River, which is probably depicted on all tourist brochures in Montenegro.
