Foreword

First we visit the ancient Piva Monastery (1578), whose interior is decorated with ivory and very old frescoes. We will show you the entrance and the steep stairs to the legendary secret room of the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos, where the monks fled during the Turkish raids.

During the tour we drive first along the banks of the river, then the reservoir,

climb the serpentine to the highlands to see the panorama of Piva from a bird's eye view and stop in the town of power engineers Pluzine, where you can always swim in the river.

The walk along the Mratinje dam is breathtaking, the height of 220 meters is impressive. The way back from Mratinje Dam to Pluzine along the Piva riverbed is no less beautiful, we take a photo break.

The lunch menu includes dishes not prepared on the coast. These are Kachamak (a mixture of mashed potatoes, cream cheese and corn flour), Tsitsvara (a mixture of cream and regular cheese and corn flour), refined rural pork. We will be able to taste all of this in the national restaurant on the banks of the Piva.

We return to the coast past the towns of Niksic, Podgorica and Cetinje. In Niksic, the second largest city in Montenegro, we can visit the ancient fortress founded by the Romans..

During the trip we will have an hour to visit Pluzine or take a boat trip on the smooth surface of Lake Piva and along its shores. But! We need to know this in advance, there are few boaters on Piva. An agreement is required.
